Call of duty: black ops 6 - how to unlock mastery badges, monopoly go: mystery mannor rewards guide (october 30 - november 1).
Resident Evil 4 VR launches tomorrow , taking the classic, revolutionary 2000s shooter into uncharted territory . It's been ported a hefty amount of times now but never overhauled for a new medium entirely. However, in the transition, it has lost Mercenaries and Separate Ways , two of the unlockable extra modes.
Speaking to IGN, the spokesperson revealing the news didn't divulge why the modes were omitted, only that they won't be making an appearance. For context, The Mercenaries was unlocked by completing the Resident Evil 4 on any difficulty - the idea is that you kill as many baddies as possible in as quick a time as you can. Normal enemies award 300 points and bosses award several thousand - in essence, it's an arcade minigame.

Meanwhile, Separate Ways is a story expansion that's also unlocked by beating the main campaign. You play as Ada Wong during the events of the main story, following Albert Wesker's orders to ring the church bell. You then rescue Luis Sera, retrieve the plaga sample, and stop Leon's assassination. It's a side story that runs adjacent to Resident Evil 4, explaining what Ada was up to.
Another absent extra mode is Assignment: Ada, a non-canon minigame that is - you guessed it - unlocked by beating Resident Evil 4. The plot is simple: you, playing as Ada, collect various plaga samples, and report back to Wesker.
During this segment, you report that Krauser is dead despite the main story implying his survival. It's non-canon, though, so this can be hand-waved. However, it does vaguely tease Resident Evil 5 as Wesker talks about "significant changes in our world" that are on the horizon.
While Assignment: Ada remained alongside Separate Ways in future ports, it's clear that elements of A:A inspired the story-based expansion. Nonetheless, neither are available in the VR port. You're stuck with good ol' Leon Kennedy, the emo bad boy with a mean jacket and a decent combat roll technique. Unfortunately, his fringe won't obscure half your view - talk about immersion breaking.
