B. Gent, L. Gent Aimed at teachers of 5 to 7 year-olds, this is a guide to planning, differentiation and assessment for primary RE. The book relies on SCAA models as a "benchmark" in providing a series of structured lessons, enabling children to explore human experiences in religion and the beliefs of six major world faiths in relation to their own. This book may stand alone or be used alongside "Religious Education Key Stage 2". References are also provided to the Scottish Guidelines for Religious and Moral Education 5-14. ! | |

United Learning
From expert sequencing to classroom resources, the United Curriculum for Primary delivers everything your teachers and subject leads need.
A scheme of work produced as optional guidance from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) to support the teaching of science at Key Stages One and Two (students aged 5-11), and intended to cover all the requirements of the 2000 National Curriculum programme of study.
Context While the scheme of work is intended to be “a comprehensive and stimulating basis for schools planning their science curriculum for 2000 and beyond”, and to “help schools improve standards” the guidance stresses that the material was optional and shows “one way that they science programme of study can be interpreted for the classroom”. It was intended for adaptation by teachers to meet students’ diverse needs.
Development The scheme was developed by QCA 'with teachers, advisers, researcher and those working in science education' – and informed by reports of good practice, research projects, and evidence from student performance in tests.
The units were written in such a way as to cover the statements of the National Curriculum programme of study. The guidance outlines expected levels of progress of most students through Years One to Six. The teaching sequences of each of the units are suggested – each unit being mapped to the programme of study statements for science (both content and scientific enquiry), and links being provided to show where the unit fits in, prior learning, health and safety, language for learning, resources and out-of-school learning. Each of the suggested teaching activities has learning objectives and outcomes, and other relevant points to note.
Components The Scheme of Work comprises 38 teaching sequences presented as units of work, named by year-group from Years One to Six:

Introduction and Acknowledgements 2013 Supplement to Refresh the Wirral Scheme of Work for Religious Education Introduction: The Agreed Syllabus Conference Working Group 2013 has carefully considered the responses from schools regarding refreshing of the Schemes of Work for RE and has produced the following guidance for schools.
The latest revision of the Harrow Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education was published in 2000, along with a non-statutory scheme of work. In preparing the syllabus, SACRE (acting as the Standing Conference) aimed to relate to, and reflect, the concerns of local faith communities.
Over the past three years, QCA has worked with 120 schools to investigate how they could develop pupils' creativity through their existing schemes of work and lesson plans.
QCA keeps the national curriculum for England under review and leads on its development. We set the standards for children's learning from the age of 3 to 14. From 3 to 5, children experience the foundation stage. From 5 to 14 they move through primary school and into the first years of secondary education.
