లా రెన్స్ అనగానే వరుసగా వస్తున్న కాంచన సినిమాలే గుర్తుకొస్తాయి.  భయపెడుతూ... థ్రిల్ కి గురి చేసే ఆ సినిమాలతో ఆయన  చూపిస్తున్న ప్రభావం అలాంటిది. అయితే  దాదాపు మూడేళ్ల తర్వాత ఆయన ఆ సినిమాల నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చేలా కథ, కథనాల్ని ఎంచుకొని చేసిన సినిమానే రుద్రుడు. తెలుగు తమిళ భాషల్లో ఒకేసారి విడుదలైన ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఉంది? లారెన్స్‌ ఏవిధంగా మెప్పించారు?

కథ ఏంటంటే: ఐటీ ఉద్యోగం చేసుకునే రుద్ర (లారెన్స్) ఓ సామాన్యుడు. తల్లిదండ్రులు అంటే ప్రాణం. అనన్య (ప్రియా భవానీ శంకర్)ని చూడగానే మనసు పారేసుకుంటాడు. ఆమెని ప్రేమించి, వివాహం చేసుకొని ఉద్యోగం కోసం విదేశాలకు వెళ్తాడు. ఇంతలో తల్లి (పూర్ణిమ భాగ్య రాజ్) చనిపోతుంది.  విదేశాల నుంచి వచ్చాక అనన్య కూడా చనిపోతుంది. దాంతో రుద్రుడి జీవితం ఒక్కసారిగా  తలకిందులవుతుంది. ఆ తరవాత తన తల్లి, భార్య చనిపోలేదని... ఎవరో చంపారని తెలుసుకుంటాడు. విశాఖలో పేరు మోసిన నేరగాడు భూమి (శరత్ కుమార్) పేరు బయటికి వస్తుంది అసలు రుద్ర కుటుంబ సభ్యులనే భూమి ఎందుకు చంపాడు.? అతనిపై రుద్ర పోరాటం ఎలా సాగింది? అనేది తెలియాలంటే సినిమా చూడాల్సిందే!

ఎలా ఉందంటే: పక్కా కమర్షియల్ సూత్రం ఆధారంగా రూపొందిన సినిమా ఇది. కొత్తదనం ఏమాత్రం లేకపోయినా.. కథ కథనం ప్రేక్షకుడి ఊహకి అందుతున్నా ... ఈ తరహా సినిమాలనీ  ఇష్టపడే ప్రేక్షకులు కూడా ఉంటారు. హీరోయిజం, ఫైట్స్, డాన్సులు తదితర మాస్ అంశాలే ఈ తరహా సినిమాల బలం. వాటిని నమ్ముకునే చేసిన సినిమా ఇది. రుద్ర.. భూమి గ్యాంగ్ మధ్య పోరాటంతో ఈ సినిమా  మొదలవుతుంది. ప్రథమార్థం అంతా కూడా భూమి గ్యాంగ్ సభ్యులని రుద్ర చంపడం... చంపిన ఆ రుద్రని కనిపెట్టి అంతం చేసేందుకు భూమి గ్యాంగ్ ప్రయత్నించడం వంటి సన్నివేశాలతో సాగుతుంది.  అంతే తప్ప కథ అంటూ సాగదు. చాలా సన్నివేశాలు రొటీన్ గా అనిపిస్తాయి. ద్వితీయార్థం లోనే అసలు కథంతా. రుద్ర ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ సన్నివేశాలే ఈ సినిమాకి బలం. విదేశాలకు వెళ్లిన వ్యక్తుల్ని విలన్ టార్గెట్ చేయడం అనే అంశం కొత్తగా ఉంటుంది. దానికి తోడు భావోద్వేగాలు కథపై ప్రభావం చూపిస్తాయి. పతాక సన్నివేశాలు కూడా హత్తుకుంటాయి. యాక్షన్ ప్రియులకు నచ్చేలా పోరాట సన్నివేశాలని డిజైన్ చేయడం బాగుంది. అఖండ యాక్షన్ తరహాలో ఈ సినిమాలో పోరాట ఘట్టాలు ఉంటాయి. ఇక లారెన్స్ మార్క్ డాన్సులు ఉండనే ఉన్నాయి. కొత్త కథ కథనాల్ని ఆశించకుండా ఓ మాస్ సినిమాని ఆస్వాదించాలనుకునే ప్రేక్షకులకు ఈ సినిమా తృప్తిని ఇవ్వచ్చు.

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే: రాఘవలారెన్స్ వన్ మేన్ షో ఈ సినిమా. భూమి పాత్రలో శరత్ కుమార్ శక్తివంతంగా కనిపించినా, ఎక్కువ భాగంలో లారెన్స్ సందడే. ఐటీ ఉద్యోగిగా కనిపించినా... ఆ పాత్ర నుంచి బయటకు వచ్చి మరీ మాస్ సందడితో తనదైన ప్రభావం చూపించారు లారెన్స్. పోరాట ఘట్టాలు మరో స్థాయిలో ఉంటాయి. ఆయనపై అఖండ ఎంత బలమైన ప్రభావం చూపించిందో ఈ సినిమా చాటింది. అక్కడక్కడ లారెన్స్ చేసిన హంగామా ఆయన కాంచన పాత్రల నుంచి ఇంకా బయటికి రాలేదని స్పష్టం చేస్తుంది.  కథానాయిక ప్రియ భవాని  శంకర్ పాత్ర పరిధి తక్కువే. ఉన్నంతలో పద్ధతి అయిన పాత్రలో మెరిసింది.  తల్లిదండ్రులుగా నాజర్, పూర్ణిమ భాగ్యరాజ్ నటించి భావోద్వేగాలని పండించే బాధ్యతను సమర్థవంతంగా నిర్వర్తించారు. శరత్ కుమార్ పాత్ర బాగుంది. దానిపై ఆయన బలమైన ప్రభావమే చూపించారు. సాంకేతికంగా సినిమా ఉన్నతంగా ఉంది. జీవి ప్రకాష్ కుమార్ పాటలకంటే నేపథ్య సంగీతం బాగుంది. కెమెరా పనితనం ఆకట్టుకుంది. దర్శకుడు కతిరేశన్ అటు కథలో కానీ ఇటు కథనంలో కానీ కొత్తదనం చూపించలేదు. నిర్మాణం బాగుంది.

Rudrudu : What's Behind

Raghava Lawrence known for his mass action entertainers is coming with his bilingual entertainer Rudhrudu. The film directed by Kathiresan has all the commercial elements as seen in the teasers and the trailers. The film's OTT rights have been bagged by Disney+Hotstar and the streaming will be done after the end of its theatrical run. Let us find out whether Rudhrudu made people roar with joy in theatres.

Rudrudu Story Review

Rudhrudu story is all about a youngster's love for his parents and how he takes care of his family when encountered with difficult situations and how he reacts when faced with tough challenges. Software Engineer Rudhra(Raghava Lawrence) lives happily with his parents Devraj(Nassar) and Indrani(Poornima Bhagyaraj). He falls in love with beautiful looking Dr.Ananya(Priya Bhavani Shankar) and soon gets married. But their happy life is rocked and to find out the reason behind it and how am influential goon Bhoomi(Sarath Kumar) is connected to it, watch Rudhrudu on screen. Rudrudu : Artists Review Raghava Lawrence played the role that had all the elements which highlights his mass image. Lawrence's trademark antics attracts masses and he danced with full energy. He emoted well and performed high octane stunts. But he went over the top and this is irritates movie lovers. Sarath Kumar played the role of the antagonist. He performed well and his screen presence made an impact though the role is routine and he didn't get much scope to show variations. Priya Bhavani Shankar looked cute and beautiful on screen and did full justice to her role. Nassar and Poornima Bhagyaraj played the role of parents quite well. Kaali Venkat is good in the role of the friend.

Rudrudu : Technicians Review

Rudhrudu story readied by Kathiresan is routine to the core. He tried to elevate Raghava Lawrence 's heroism among masses by including all commerical elements. In the process the story has taken a bearing. He showed the Vizag backdrop and for the entire first half, he spent only on elevating the heroism by incuding intense action sequences. Only after the first half, the real story is narrated. The second half creates little interest with an interesting twist. Though the premise increases the curiosity levels with Kathiresan concentrating on mass commerical elements, everything is lost. The climax is intense and action packed and the story ends in a predictable manner. Kathiresan highlights Raghava Lawrence showing his antics and trademark mannerisms in the first half. Most of the time, Lawrence went loud and is over the top. In the second half, after an interesting twist, the narration takes a predictable course with screenplay and direction coming up with routine colours. The editing of Anthony could have been better as there are many repetitive scenes. Rajasekhar 's Cinematography is ok and is in sync with the story. GV.Prakash Kumar,Dharan Kumar, OlRo came up with mass beats and choreography of one song is very good. Dialogues are just ok. Background score of Sam.CS elevated the scenes but most of the times it is loud. Stunt choreography is intense and appeals to masses. Production values are good.

Rudrudu Movie Rating Analysis

Altogether, Rudhrudu is a routine mass entrainer tried to touch a valid and interesting point and highlight how criminals find ways to make money targeting the innocents. But his point is washed in routine elements impacting the film's overall result. Lawrence is known for his love for mass movies and Kathiresan came up with the story suited for him. Lawrence dreamed of doing mass entertainers and roped Stunt Shiva who worked for Balakrishna's Akhanda. So stunts look similar to Balakrishna's stunts in various films. Raghava Lawrence expressed his desire to do a mass entertainer and went on record that he watched Akhanda many times. But he should realise that action sequences alone will not save the film. Had Kathiresan worked on the story and screenplay and fine tuned it accordingly , balancing it with interesting elements and twists, result would have been different. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1 rating for Rudhrudu.

డైరెక్టర్ కతిరేసన్ ( Director Kathiresan ) దర్శకత్వంలో రూపొందిన సినిమా రుద్రుడు. ( Rudrudu Movie ) ఇందులో రాఘవ లారెన్స్, ప్రియా భవాని, శరత్ కుమార్ తదితరులు నటించారు.కతిరేసన్ ఫైవ్ స్టార్ క్రియేషన్స్ ఎల్.ఎల్.బి బ్యానర్ పై నిర్మాతగా కూడా బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టాడు. జీవి ప్రకాష్ కుమార్ సంగీతం అందించాడు.

ఆర్ డి సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టాడు.ఇక ఈ సినిమా ఒక పాత కమర్షియల్ ఫార్మాట్ లో ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు రాగా ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఆకట్టుకుందో చూద్దాం.పైగా రాఘవ లారెన్స్ కు ( Raghava Lawrence ) ఎటువంటి సక్సెస్ అందించిందో చూద్దాం.

కథ విషయానికి వస్తే.ఇందులో రాఘవర్ లారెన్స్ రుద్రుడు పాత్రలో కనిపిస్తాడు.రుద్రుడు మామూలు ఉద్యోగం చేసుకునే వ్యక్తి.ఇక ఇతడు తను ఇష్టపడ్డ అమ్మాయి అనన్య (ప్రియా భవాని శంకర్) ను పెళ్లి చేసుకుంటాడు.తన కుటుంబంతో సంతోషంగా జీవిస్తూ ఉంటాడు.

అయితే కొంతమంది దుండగులు తన భార్యను చంపేస్తారు.దాంతో రుద్రుడి జీవితం మొత్తం నాశనం అవుతుంది.

దీంతో తన భార్యను చంపింది ఎవరో తెలుసుకోవాలని చంపాలని నిర్ణయించుకుంటాడు.అలా వారిని చంపాడా లేదా.

అసలు వారు అనన్యను ఎందుకు చంపాలనుకున్నారు అనేది మిగిలిన కథలోనిది.

నటినటుల నటన:

రాఘవ లారెన్స్ నటన గురించి కొత్తగా చెప్పాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు.ఆయన ఏ పాత్రకైనా పూర్తి న్యాయం చేస్తాడు.ఈ సినిమాలో రుద్రుడి పాత్రతో బాగానే ఆకట్టుకున్నాడు.

ప్రియ భవాని కూడా బాగా నటించింది.శరత్ కుమార్ నెగటివ్ పాత్రలో అద్భుతంగా చేశాడు.మిగిలిన నటీనటులంత పాత్రలకు న్యాయం చేశారు.

ఇక డైరెక్టర్ ఈ సినిమాను మామూలు కథతోనే ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు తీసుకొచ్చాడు. జీవి ప్రకాష్ అందించిన పాటలు కూడా మామూలుగానే ఉన్నాయి. ఆర్డీ చాయాగ్రహణం కూడా పరవాలేదు అన్నట్లుగా ఉంది.నేపథ్య సంగీతం బాగుంది.మిగిలిన సాంకేతిక విభాగాలు సినిమాకు తగ్గట్టుగా పనిచేశాయి.

మామూలుగా ఈ తరం ప్రేక్షకులు సినిమాలలో కొత్తదనాన్ని కోరుకుంటున్నారు.అందుకే కొంతమంది దర్శకులు ప్రేక్షకులను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని కథను కొత్త కొత్తగా తీస్తున్నారు.కానీ కొంతమందికి దర్శకులు పాత కమర్షియల్ వంటి సినిమాలతోనే ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వస్తున్నారు.ఇప్పుడు అటువంటిదే రుద్రుడు సినిమా కూడా.ఇక ఈ సినిమా చూస్తున్నంతసేపు ఎప్పటినుంచో చూస్తున్నాం అని ఫీలింగ్ కనిపిస్తుంది.చాలావరకు రొటీన్ గా అనిపిస్తూ ఉంటుంది.

కానీ మధ్య మధ్యలో కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలు మాత్రం ప్రేక్షకులను ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా చూపించాడు దర్శకుడు.

మైనస్ పాయింట్స్:

రొటీన్ కథనం లాగా అనిపించింది.

బాటమ్ లైన్:

చివరగా చెప్పాల్సిందేంటంటే ఈ సినిమా ఈ తరం ప్రేక్షకులను మెప్పించడం చాలా కష్టమని చెప్పాలి.అంటే పాత కమర్షియల్ సినిమా కాబట్టి సినిమా చూస్తున్నంత సేపు చూసినట్లుగానే అనిపిస్తుంది.

కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ గా, యాక్టర్ గా, డాన్సర్ గా తమిళ్ తో పాటు తెలుగులోనూ తనకంటూ ప్రత్యేక గుర్తింపు తెచ్చుకున్నాడు రాఘవ లారెన్స్. ముఖ్యంగా 'కాంచన' సిరీస్ తో నటుడిగా ఆయన తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకులకు బాగా దగ్గరయ్యాడు. తాజాగా ఆయన నటించిన 'రుద్రుడు' చిత్రం ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు వచ్చింది. లారెన్స్ గత చిత్రాల మాదిరిగా హారర్ సినిమా కాకపోవడం, దానికితోడు ట్రైలర్ కూడా ఆకట్టుకోకపోవడంతో ఈ సినిమాపై ఏమాత్రం అంచనాలు ఏర్పడలేదు. మరి రెగ్యులర్ కమర్షియల్ ఫార్మాట్ లో రూపొందిన ఈ ఫిల్మ్.. ట్రైలర్ లాగే తేలిపోయిందా? లేక అలరించేలా ఉందా? అనేది ఇప్పుడు తెలుసుకుందాం.

కథ: రుద్ర(రాఘవ లారెన్స్) ఓ సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ ఇంజనీర్. అతనికి తన తల్లిదండ్రులే(నాజర్, పూర్ణిమ భాగ్యరాజ్‌) ప్రపంచం. ఓ వైపు తన ఉద్యోగం, మరోవైపు తన తండ్రి ట్రావెల్స్ వ్యాపారంతో అతని జీవితం అందంగా సాగిపోతుంటుంది. ప్రేయసి అనన్య(ప్రియా భవాని శంకర్) రాకతో జీవితం మరింత అందంగా మారుతుంది. ఇక ఆమెని పెళ్లి చేసుకొని, కుటుంబంతో కలిసి ఎంతో హ్యాపీగా ఉండొచ్చు అనుకున్న రుద్ర జీవితంలో కొన్ని అనూహ్య ఘటనలు చోటు చేసుకుంటాయి. తన ఫ్రెండ్ తో కలిసి పెద్ద వ్యాపారం పెడదామని రుద్ర తండ్రి ఆరు కోట్లు అప్పు చేయగా.. ఆ డబ్బుతో ఫ్రెండ్ పారిపోతాడు. దీంతో ఆ బాధతో గుండెపోటుతో రుద్ర తండ్రి చనిపోతాడు. ట్రావెల్స్ అమ్మి కొంత అప్పు తీర్చిన రుద్ర.. మిగతా అప్పు తీర్చడం కోసం లండన్ వెళ్లి ఉద్యోగం చేస్తాడు. అప్పటికే లండన్ వెళ్లే ముందు అనన్యను పెళ్లి చేసుకుంటాడు రుద్ర. ఇప్పుడిప్పుడే కుటుంబం గాడిన పడుతుంది, అప్పులు తీరిపోయి మళ్ళీ కుటుంబంతో కలిసి సంతోషంగా ఉండొచ్చు అని రుద్ర కలలు కంటుండగా.. అతన్ని ఊహించని విషాదాలు వెంటాడుతాయి. రుద్ర జీవితంలో తీరని విషాదానికి కారణమైన భూమి(శరత్ కుమార్) ఎవరు?.. అతని వల్ల రుద్ర తన వాళ్ళని ఎలా కోల్పోయాడు? భూమి గురించి తెలుసుకొని రుద్ర అతన్ని ఎలా అంతమొందించాడు? అనేది మిగతా కథ.

విశ్లేషణ: రుద్రుడు ట్రైలర్ చూసినప్పుడే ఇదొక రొటీన్ ఫిల్మ్ అని అర్థమైపోతుంది. ఇక సినిమా మొదలైన కాసేపటికే ఇందులో ఏమాత్రం కొత్తదనం లేదని తేలిపోతుంది. ఈ రొటీన్ కథని నమ్మి కతిరేశన్‌ సినిమాని నిర్మించడమే కాకుండా.. ఈ సినిమాతో దర్శకుడిగా కూడా మారాలి అనిపించేలా ఆయనకు ఈ కథలో ఏం నచ్చిందో అర్థంకాదు. సినిమా ప్రారంభమవ్వడమే ఊర మాస్ ఫైట్లతో స్టార్ట్ అవుతుంది. ఓ వైపు రుద్ర వరుస హత్యలు చేయడం చూపిస్తూ, మరోవైపు పారలల్ గా అతని గతాన్ని చూపిస్తారు. ఈ క్రమంలో రుద్ర ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ లో వచ్చే కామెడీ సన్నివేశాలు, ప్రేమ సన్నివేశాలు అలరించకపోగా.. విసుగు తెప్పిస్తాయి. కొన్ని కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలు చూస్తుంటే ఎప్పటి సినిమా చూస్తున్నామనే భావన కలుగుతుంది.

విలన్ వల్ల హీరో కుటుంబానికి అన్యాయం జరగడం, ఆ విలన్ పై హీరో రివేంజ్ తీర్చుకోవడం అనేది కొన్ని వందల సార్లు తీసేసి, చూసేసి బాగా అరిగిపోయిన కథ. అలాంటి పరమ రొటీన్ కథ తీసుకున్నప్పుడు.. ఆసక్తికరమైన కథనం, సన్నివేశాల్లో కొత్తదనం ఉండేలా అయినా చూసుకోవాలి. కానీ రుద్రుడు విషయంలో అలాంటి ప్రయత్నమే జరగలేదు. కథ లాగానే కథనం కూడా ఏమాత్రం ఆసక్తిగా లేకుండా సాగిపోయింది. ముఖ్యంగా ప్రథమార్థంలో వచ్చే మెజారిటీ సన్నివేశాలు ప్రేక్షకుల సహనానికి పరీక్ష పెడతాయి. ద్వితీయార్థంలో వచ్చే కొన్ని సన్నివేశాలు, అలాగే సాధారణ క్రిమినల్ అయిన భూమి అంత డబ్బు ఎలా సంపాదించాడని చూపించిన ఆలోచన కొంతవరకు పరవాలేదు అనిపిస్తాయి. అయితే అవేవి సినిమాని గట్టెంకించలేవు. 

మామూలుగా లారెన్స్ సినిమాలంటే ప్రేక్షకులు డ్యాన్స్ లు ఆశిస్తారు. ఇందులోనూ ఓ రెండు పాటల్లో డ్యాన్స్ అదరగొట్టాడు. అయితే పాటలే పూర్తిగా తేలిపోయాయి. జి.వి. ప్రకాష్ స్వరపరిచిన ఒక్క పాట ఆకట్టుకోలేకపోయింది. ఒకట్రెండు పాటలైతే లిరిక్స్ కూడా అర్థంకాకుండా.. డప్పుల మోతతో గందలగోళంగా ఉన్నాయి. సామ్‌ సి.ఎస్‌ నేపథ్య సంగీతం బాగానే ఉంది. అయితే యాక్షన్ సన్నివేశాల్లో కొన్నిచోట్ల మోత ఎక్కువైపోయింది. అక్కడక్కడా 'అఖండ'లో థమన్ ని గుర్తు చేశాడు. ఈ సినిమాలో ఫైట్లు కూడా అఖండను గుర్తు చేసేలా ఉన్నాయి. స్టంట్ శివ ఫైట్లు ఊర మాస్ గా ఉన్నాయి. ఆర్.డి. రాజశేఖర్ సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ బాగుంది. ఎడిటర్ ఆంటోనీ తన కూర్పుతో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని కాపాడటానికి కూడా ఏం లేదు. నిర్మాణ విలువలు బాగున్నాయి.

నటీనటుల పనితీరు: రుద్రగా లారెన్స్ నటన ఆకట్టుకుంది. ఉద్యోగం, కుటుంబం, స్నేహితులే ప్రపంచంగా బ్రతికే ఒక సాధారణ వ్యక్తి అయిన రుద్ర నుంచి రుద్రుడిగా మారే పాత్రలో లారెన్స్ చక్కగా రాణించాడు. అయితే కొన్ని సన్నివేశాల్లో ఆయన ఆవేశాన్ని ప్రదర్శించినప్పుడు.. ఆ ముఖ కదలికలు ఆయన గతంలో నటించిన హారర్ సినిమాలలోని నటనను గుర్తు చేసేలా ఉన్నాయి. అనన్య పాత్ర పోషించిన ప్రియా భవాని శంకర్ కు నటిగా ప్రతిభ చూపించుకోవడానికి పెద్దగా స్కోప్ లేదనే చెప్పాలి. ఉన్నంతలో బాగానే చేసింది. ఇక భూమిగా శరత్‌ కుమార్‌ తన మార్క్ చూపించారు. అయితే ఆయన గెటప్ మీద, ముఖ్యంగా విగ్ మీద శ్రద్ధ తీసుకొని ఉండాల్సింది. రుద్ర తండ్రిగా నాజర్, తల్లిగా పూర్ణిమ భాగ్యరాజ్‌, స్నేహితుడిగా కాళి వెంకట్ రాణించారు. 

తెలుగువన్ పర్‌స్పెక్టివ్: రొటీన్ కథని తీసుకొని, దానిని మరింత రొటీన్ గా తెరకెక్కించిన చిత్రం 'రుద్రుడు'. లారెన్స్ డ్యాన్స్ లు, ఊర మాస్ ఫైట్లు ఇష్టపడే వాళ్ళు ఒక్కసారి ఈ సినిమా వైపు లుక్కేయొచ్చు. అంతకుమించి ఈ సినిమాలో చెప్పుకోవడానికి కూడా ఏం లేదు.

Choreographer turned director Lawrence is back with a mass entertainer titled, Rudhrudu. Let’s see how it fares.

Story: Set in Vizag backdrop, Rudhrudu revolves around a don named named Bhoomi (Sharathkumar). Why is Bhoomi such as ruthless person? Why will Rudhrudu go against Bhoomi persons and kills them? Later, he shifted based to London? What happened when he returns from London? In the meantime,what happens in the personal life of Rudhrudu with Ananya(Priya Bhavani Shankar)? How will Bhoomi do after gets to know about his brutal murder of his friends? What is the connection between Rudhrudu and Bhoomi? To know that you have to watch the film in the cinemas near you.

Performances: As expected, Lawrence is energetic in the lead role. He is fine is his acting capabilities and tries to develop the screen with his outstanding screen presence.

Sharathkumar is superb as a negative shaded character. He emotes the action part with his natural acting and delivers a impressive acting.

Priya Bhavani Shankar is homely is the given character character. She is captivating in the given role and fine in with performance in the given purposeful role.

Especially, Lawrence mesmerizing with his tarde mark dance move in one of the romantic duets.

The mother emotion in the film is explored nicely without any melo-drama.

Technicalities: Cinemautography work by RD Rajashekhar is top-notch as he presented the entire film on a lavish note. The frames are captivating as so is the case with the camera angles.

Artwork department did a fine job with the mesmerizing work. Editing work is fine. Dilaouge written by the writer department are good as they never give you a feel of watching a dubbed film.

Music scored by talented musician GV Prakash Kumar registers. His background score elevates the mood of the film neatly.

Production design work is apt for proceedings. Production values for this limited budget movie are okay.

Analysis: Debutant turns producer Kathiresan directs Rudhrudu. When it comes to the direction, Kathiresan made sure he focused on the film instead of wasting time on unwanted deviations.

Though the worked on a regular commerical aspects, the director mainly focused on commercial elements which will be liked by the mass audience. To summerize, Rudhrudu is a well-packed commercial entertainer that has a high chance to click at th ticket windows.

Verdict: Regular masala entertainer!

లారెన్స్ చాలా గ్యాప్ తరువాత చేసిన సినిమా 'రుద్రుడు'. గతంలో ఆయన నుంచి వచ్చిన హారర్ కామెడీ సినిమాలు భారీ విజయాలను నమోదు చేశాయి. అదే జోనర్లో ఈ సినిమా ఉంటుందేమోనని చాలామంది అనుకున్నారు. కానీ ఇది యాక్షన్ సినిమా అనీ .. మదర్ సెంటిమెంట్ ఉంటుందని ప్రమోషన్స్ లో లారెన్స్ చెప్పడంతో అందరిలో ఆసక్తి పెరుగుతూ వచ్చింది. తమిళంతో పాటు తెలుగులోను ఒకే రోజున ఈ సినిమా విడుదలవడం విశేషం. కథలోకి వెళితే .. రుద్ర (లారెన్స్) మధ్యతరగతి కుటుంబానికి చెందిన యువకుడు. ఆయన తండ్రి దేవరాజు (నాజర్) ప్రైవేట్ ట్రావెల్స్ నడుపుతూ ఉంటాడు. రుద్ర ఒక సాఫ్ట్ వేర్ సంస్థలో జాబ్ సంపాదించుకుంటాడు. అదే ప్రాంతంలో ల్యాబ్ టెక్నీషియన్ గా పనిచేస్తున్న అనన్య (ప్రియా భవాని శంకర్ )తో అతనికి పరిచయమై అది కాస్తా ప్రేమగా మారుతుంది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలోనే దేవరాజును అతని భాగస్వామి నమ్మించి మోసం చేస్తాడు. దాంతో దేవరాజు ఓ వ్యక్తికి 6 కోట్లు అప్పుగా చెల్లించవలసి వస్తుంది.  ఈ విషయంలో టెన్షన్ పడిన దేవరాజు హార్ట్ ఎటాక్ తో చనిపోతాడు. అప్పు ఇచ్చిన వ్యక్తి పోలీస్ కేసు పెడతాడు. ట్రావెల్స్ అమ్మేసి కొంత డబ్బు చెల్లించిన రుద్ర. మిగతా డబ్బు సంపాదించడానికి ఫారిన్ వెళ్లాలని నిర్ణయించుకుంటాడు. అనన్యను పెళ్లి చేసుకుని, తల్లి బాధ్యతను ఆమెకి అప్పగిస్తాడు. అతను ఫారిన్ వెళ్లిన తరువాత ఓ అనూహ్యమైన సంఘటన జరుగుతుంది. అదేమిటి? ఇక మరో వైపున ఆ ప్రాంతంలో గ్యాంగ్ లీడర్ గా అందరినీ హడలెత్తించే భూమినాథన్ (శరత్ కుమార్) రుద్రకోసం గాలిస్తుంటాడు? అందుకు కారణం ఏమిటి? అనేదే కథ.  ఈ సినిమాకి నిర్మాత .. దర్శకుడు కథిరేసన్. దర్శకుడిగా ఇది ఆయనకి ఫస్టు మూవీ. ఈ కథను ఆయన ఎత్తుకున్న తీరు .. ఒక  వైపున లారెన్స్  ఇంట్రడక్షన్ సీన్ .. మరో వైపున శరత్ కుమార్ ఎంట్రీ సీన్ తో ఆడియన్స్ ను కథలోకి తీసుకుని వెళతాడు. అయితే ఆ తరువాత అరగంటసేపు  కథనంలో వేగం లేకపోవడంతో ఆడియన్స్  జారిపోవడం మొదలవుతుంది. సీట్లలోని ప్రేక్షకులు అసహనంగా కదులుతారు.  బిజినెస్ లో ఒక భాగస్వామి తన తండ్రిని మోసం చేస్తే, హీరో ఎలా అతని అంతు చూశాడనేదే కథ అనే ఒక నిర్ధారణకు ఈ అరగంటలోనే ప్రేక్షకులు వచ్చేస్తారు. సరిగ్గా ఆ సమయంలోనే కథ కొత్త పాయింట్ కి కనెక్ట్ అవుతుంది. అక్కడి నుంచి ఆ పాయింట్ ను ముందుకు తీసుకుని వెళ్లిన తీరు ఇంట్రెస్టింగ్ గా అనిపిస్తుంది. చివరికి ఇచ్చిన ఫినిషింగ్ టచ్ కూడా అడియన్స్ కి సంతృప్తి కరంగా అనిపిస్తుంది. చివర్లో ఇచ్చిన సందేశం కూడా ఆలోచనలో పడేస్తుంది.   లారెన్స్ సినిమాలో డాన్సుల గురించి ప్రత్యేకంగా చెప్పుకోవలసిన పనిలేదు. ఈ సినిమాలో ఫస్టాఫ్ లో వచ్చే పాటల్లో సాహిత్యం ఒక్క ముక్క అర్థం కాదు. కానీ కొరియోగ్రఫీ డిఫరెంట్ గా అనిపిస్తుంది. ఇక లారెన్స్ ఇంట్రడక్షన్ ఫైట్ .. జాతరలో రౌడీ మూక నుంచి తన కూతురును కాపాడుకునే ఫైట్ .. క్లైమాక్స్ లో భాగంగా వచ్చే ఫైట్ ఈ సినిమాకి హైలైట్. ఈ మూడు కూడా భారీ యాక్షన్ సీన్స్ కావడం విశేషం.  ఒక వైపున మదర్ సెంటిమెంట్ .. మరో వైపున కూతురు సెంటిమెంట్ చుట్టూ ఈ కథ నడుస్తుంది. ఈ మధ్యలో భార్య తాలూకు ఎమోషన్స్ కూడా కనెక్ట్ అవుతాయి. లారెన్స్ పాత్రను డిజైన్ చేసిన తీరు .. ఆయన యాక్టింగ్ ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. శరత్ కుమార్ డిఫరెంట్ లుక్ తో ఆకట్టుకుంటాడు.  ప్రియా భవాని శంకర్ .. కాళీ వెంకట్ .. నాజర్ పాత్ర పరిధిలో నటించారు. పాటల పరంగా ట్యూన్స్ బాగానే అనిపిస్తాయిగానీ, తెలుగు సాహిత్యం అర్థం కాదు. సామ్ సీఎస్ బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ ఆడియన్స్ అదే మూడ్ లో ఉండేలా చూసింది.  ఇక రాజశేఖర్ ఫొటోగ్రఫీ ఈ సినిమాకి ప్రత్యేకమైన ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచింది. క్లిష్టమైన సన్నివేశాలను కూడా ఆయన గొప్పగా చిత్రీకరించాడు. ఆంథోని ఎడిటింగ్ ఫరవాలేదు. హీరో వైపు నుంచి ఈ కథ ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ లో నుంచి బయటికి రావడం .. ప్రెజెంట్ లో కొంత కథ జరిగిన తరువాత మళ్లీ ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్ లోకి వెళ్లడం జరుగుతూ ఉంటుంది. అయినా ఆడియన్స్ ఎక్కడా కన్ఫ్యూజ్ కాకుండా చూసుకున్నారు. కాకపోతే ఫస్టు అరగంటలో సీన్స్ ను కాస్త టైట్ చేస్తే ఇంకా బాగుండేది.  ప్లస్ పాయింట్స్: కథ .. కథనం .. బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ .. లారెన్స్ మేజిక్ .. శరత్ కుమార్ యాక్టింగ్ .. కొత్త పాయింట్ .. ఆలోచింపజేసే సందేశం.   మైనస్ పాయింట్స్: ఫస్టు అరగంటలో కథనం నెమ్మదించడం .. అంతగా ప్రాముఖ్యత లేని సన్నివేశాలను సాగదీయడం .. డబ్బింగ్ సినిమా పాటలంటే ఇలాగే ఉండాలన్నట్టుగా పట్టించుకోకపోవడం .. ఆ పాటల్లో సాహిత్యం అర్థం కాకపోవడం. హింస పాళ్లు ఎక్కువగానే ఉండటం. ఇక ఈ సినిమాకి సీక్వెల్ ఉందని చెప్పడం విశేషం.

Rudrudu movie review.

Raghava Lawrence is back with a mass action drama, Rudhran, which is dubbed in Telugu as Rudhrudu. Directed by debutant S Kathiresan, the movie has hit screens today. Let’s see how the movie is.

Rudhra (Raghava Lawrence) leads a happy life with his parents, Devaraju (Nassar) and Indrani (Poornima Bhagyaraj). He falls in love with Ananya (Priya Bhavani Shankar), and they get married. However, Rudhra’s family faces financial problems, and he leaves for London to sort out the issues. During his absence, his mother passes away, and Ananya goes missing. Devastated, Rudhra returns home to find out what happened to them. How is Bhoomi (Sarathkumar) related to the story? What does Rudhra do next? The film has all the answers.

Plus Points :

After a long gap, Raghava Lawrence is back with a mass action drama that has all the aspects mass audiences crave. Lawrence looks good in the role of Rudhra, and his typical comedy timing, dance moves and viciousness during the action scenes are enjoyable to watch on the big screen.

Priya Bhavani Shankar appears for a short time on screen, especially in the first half. Her scenes with Raghava Lawrence are lovely to watch, and she does a good job.

The second half is a big plus for the film as it is filled with emotions and action scenes that make the general audience feel good. The climax portion is also executed well. The message conveyed in the climax is fine.

Minus Points :

The story falls short in this aspect. One can easily predict not only the next scene but also the whole story. Audiences have been watching this kind of story for ages. The story writer, Thirumaaran, should have made the plot more intriguing by adding some twists and turns. Instead, he chooses a standard revenge drama template that is unimpressive.

As mentioned above, the second half is better than the first half. The first half makes one wonder what the movie is all about and why Lawrence accepted this story. But the proceedings that happen in the second half give clarity about what the director intended to say with the film.

Besides writing a pretty normal screenplay, the director didn’t concentrate much on characterizations. He should have written more emotional scenes in the first half between Lawrence and Nassar. Also, Sarathkumar’s character could have been shown more powerful.

Technical Aspects :

An engaging story and racy screenplay should have been written to make Rudrudu a better fare. The director should have focused more on these aspects. The songs are pretty normal, and the background score composed by Sam CS is too loud, especially in the action sequences. The sound mixing should have been done well.

The editor, Anthony, should have trimmed many unnecessary scenes in the first half. Cinematography by RD Rajasekhar is decent. The production values are neat. The team should have taken proper care of dubbing for characters like Nasser.

On the whole, Raghava Lawrence starrer Rudhra is just a mediocre action drama that works in parts. Lawrence’s performance, emotions, and the climax portion are good in the film. The movie may not appeal to all sections of audiences, but given its nature, it will end up just an okay watch for the mass audience this weekend.

Rudhrudu is a Tamil-language action drama film directed by S.Kathiresan which is dubbed into Telugu and released as Rudhrudu. The film has Raghava Lawrence & Priya Bhavani Shankar playing the lead roles while R. Sarathkumar, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Nassar, Abhishek Vinod, Redin Kingsley, Kaali Venkat & others in supporting roles. The music is composed by G.V. Rudhra (Raghava Lawrence) is a happy IT man living with his family. He loves a girl named Ananya (Priya Bhavani Shankar) and marries her. Rudhra then goes abroad with his IT work leaving his family in India. Everything goes well until the moment his life is turned upside down. He comes upon a major criminal network including a criminal businessman. What is the incident? How will Rudhra embark on a mission to expose the criminal network forms the rest of the plot.

What about on-screen performances?

Raghava Lawrence does an impressive job in his role as Rudhra. He is good in all the emotional scenes and is superb in all action scenes. Apart from his acting, he dances like a dream in all the songs, especially in the ‘Praanaana Paatale Paaduthundi’ song.

Priya Bhavani Shankar looks cute and does a decent job as Dr.Ananya. She fits her role perfectly and is impressive in all the emotional scenes as well.

R.Sarathkumar makes his presence felt in his negative shaded role. He is particularly good in the flashback portions. But the role is a cliched commercial cinema villain, that didn’t gives him enough meat to shine.

Poornima Bhagyaraj does a neat job as the hero’s mother. The mother sentiment works well in the film.

Nassar is okay as the hero’s father while Abhishek Vinod, Sachu, Shivajith, Redin Kingsley, Kaali Venkat, Shyam Prasad & others are fine in their respective supporting roles.

What about off-screen talents?

The story by KP. Thirumaaran is a routine revenge drama. Apart from the core crime that happens in the second half, nothing seems that interesting.

The screenplay too follows a template style format with cliched scenes that offer no novelty. The love track and the family scenes in the first half should have been well-written.

Director S. Kathiresan does an okayish job with his presentation. The way he handled the first half is very boring but he connected the emotions very well in the second half. Had he taken a bit more care on the writing part, the film would have been a lot better.

The Telugu dubbed songs by G.V. Prakash Kumar & Dharan Kumar are very poor and irritating at a point. Only the ‘Praanaana Paatale Paaduthundi’ song and the Mother song work to an extent.

The background score by Sam C. S. lifts all the elevation scenes to a decent level.

The camera work by R. D. Rajasekhar is neat while the edit by Anthony is middling. The production values are okay.

Rudhrudu OTT release date: When and where to watch Raghava Lawrence, Priya Bhavani Shankar’s film

Produced and directed by Kathiresan, the film features Sarath Kumar as the antagonist

Choreographer, director, philanthropist and actor Raghava Lawrence headlined a commercial entertainer titled Rudhran recently. The film was dubbed into Telugu as Rudhrudu and released in theatres simultaneously with the original in the first half of April. Priya Bhavani Shankar played the female lead in the film which was directed and produced by Kathiresan. Sarath Kumar played the antagonist.

KP Thirumaaran wrote the story and the screenplay for the film which opened to mixed responses in theatres and had a modest run at the box office. Nearly a month after its release, both the Telugu and Tamil versions of the film are gearing up for their OTT premiere. Sun NXT acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the action entertainer and will premiere the film on May 14, Sunday.

The story revolves around a dutiful son who goes to London to repay the huge debt availed by his father. While his wife is the only solace, he hopes to return to his home to lead a hassle-free life. Despite his intentions, destiny offers him a rude shock. He needs to come to terms with the death of a loved one owing to a criminal who eyed his property. Will he be able to teach him a lesson?

OTTplay.com 's critic while reviewing the film wrote, “Lawrence’s acts in Rudhran are no different from what he portrays in the popular Kanchana franchise. With almost zero novelty in the screenplay and dull character sketches, one finds it difficult to sit through the whole movie. A message that appears in the end is relevant, but forced and hence, makes little impact.”

GV Prakash Kumar scored the music for the film and remixed the yesteryear song Paadatha Pattellam in the album. Sam CS worked on the background score. While RD Rajasekar ISC handled the cinematography, the film was edited by Anthony. Stun Siva and Raju. P are the action director and the art director respectively. Shridhar choreographed the songs. Rudhrudu was produced under Five Star Creations.

Actor-choreographer-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence’s Tamil film, Rudhran, is releasing in Telugu as Rudrudu. The film’s theatrical trailer was launched around a week ago and it promised a solid commercial entertainer.

Rudrudu is all set for its theatrical release tomorrow (April 14). Lawrence and the film’s core team landed in Hyderabad today to promote the film. Interacting with the Telugu film media, Lawrence opened up about Rudrudu in detail. He said that Rudrudu will be loved by the mass, class and family audiences.

“Those who love their mothers will surely love Rudrudu. You all know how much I love my mother. Rudrudu is high on mother sentiment. The film delivers a touching message on mothers and fathers. Besides such strong emotions, the film also has romance, comedy and dances in equal proportions,” Lawrence added.

Talking about his character in Rudrudu, Lawrence said that he plays a middle-class techie who turns a rebel after he faces a conflict. Directed and produced by debutant Kathiresan, the film has Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead while Sarathkumar will be seen in a crucial role. Tagore Madhu is releasing the film’s Telugu version.

Devara Part 1 trailer: Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR , Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles, will be released in theatres on September 27. Devara: Part 1 trailer

In 2-minutes-39-seconds Koratala sets up the world of Devara: Part 1 with a tale that ‘turned the sea red’. The place where Saif’s character and his men reside, fear doesn’t exist. But the arrival of Jr NTR’s character changes all that. While seemingly shaking hands with him, Saif’s character seems to have a long-drawn plan to defeat the man who taught them fear. Janhvi is shown as a village belle who’s in love with the titular character’s son, also played by Jr NTR. While the trailer hints that he’s nothing like his father, he might have no choice but to rise to the occasion when needed.

Devara: Part 1 promotions in Mumbai

While in Mumbai, Jr NTR met his RRR co-star Alia Bhatt and filmmaker Karan Johar . Fan pages on X (formerly Twitter) shared pictures of their meeting. In them, Jr NTR, Alia, and Karan pose for pictures.

In some other photos, they’re chatting away as ‘Devara ka Jigra ’ is written behind them. Both Jr NTR and Karan opted for casual blue-toned looks, while Alia opted for a black dress and matching heels. A promotional video of the same is expected to come out soon.

Jr NTR, Saif and Janhvi are busy promoting their upcoming film, Devara: Part 1 in Mumbai. Saif and Jr NTR opted for beige looks, while Janhvi opted for a blue half-saree style beaded outfit for the promotions. A recent picture of the actor with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has also sparked discussion.

The BO business of Devara: Part 1

While ticket sales in India have yet to open, Devara: Part 1 has crossed the $1 million mark in pre-sales in North America. “He’s turning every part into his RED BLOOD sea,” wrote the film’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle while sharing the news. The pre-sales are for premieres in North America that will be held a day before its release in India on September 26. It remains to be seen how the film will fare when tickets open in India.

About Devara: Part 1

Jr NTR plays a dual role in Devara: Part 1 as Devara and Varadha, aka Deva and Vara. Saif plays kushti expert Bhaira, while Janhvi plays Thangam. Three songs—Fear Song, Chuttamalle, and Daavudi —composed by Anirudh Ravichander have already been released and met with mixed reactions. The first part of Devara will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
